Kilinga Bacanora
The founder and Maestro, Rodrigo Bojorquez Bours, named Kilinga after his mother, the matriarch of the family-owned business. The family’s ranching background means sustainability is integral to every part of the business. They control and own everything. From the land, to the agave to the final product. Seed-to-sip!
Bacanora survived an almost 100 year long prohibition, only relaxing in the 1990s & 2000s. It can only be made in Sonora, Mexico. Although a traditional spirit, Kilinga was developed without the constraints of a multigenerational recipe. This allowed Rodrigo to honor the spirit of his land whilst innovating and integrating learnings and inspiration from Mexico’s best agave spirit producers.
